sharing a drive/folder from guest to host

Post by AdrianTM »

Is it possible to share a drive/folder from guest to host? Not any drive, I have a Novell mounted drive and I'd like to share it to the Vista host.

Novell client for Vista doesn't work in this environment, this would be a hack to get my Novell drives working in Vista by sharing them from an XP host. Yuck! Any chance to get such a setting working? Thanks.

You need at least Host Interface Networking to access shares on the Guest from the Host. See the manual on how to set that up.

I haven't tried sharing a mounted network share, but it might not even be possible. Only way to find out is to try it ;).

Thanks again, at least from GUI I don't see any option to share a mounted drive, it might be some command prompt option... I'll research...

CLI from Windows should be someting like net share <location> <name> for creating a share.
