feature request : allow NAT guests to talk to each other

Post by lunarlander »

Hi

I want to request a feature where all the guest PCs can talk to each other AND access the outside world. So when I have windows server and other windows guests I can both do windows update AND join domain residing on another windows server guest.

I have tried the host interface with bridge. The problem with that is that when the the VB is shutdown, and the host interface is "unplugged", the other partners of the bridge don't work. So my real network card can't access the internet with the host interface down. At least thats what I encountered with my Vista Biz host.

Shutting down one member of a bridge should not result in connection loss for the others.
You can try Internal Networking next to NAT. It will give two interfaces in the Guest, but connectivity is guaranteed.
