Hi,
I am using Virtual box on an XP Home machine.
I have a MS DOS vm installed, and i need to be able to transfer files onto the DOS machine from the XP one.
Can you tell me how i do this if net use is not available to me.
Has anyone got this to work, if so i'd appreciate some set-up advise.
Sorry if this is a newbie question, but i am a newbie
Thanks in advance
Ian

Shared Folders is a function only available after installing the Guest Additions. They aren't supported for DOS, or any other MS OS before Windows 2000. The only way to get it working, is to get networking running on DOS, but I doubt you will be able to do that. The only thing left is using floppies. Or, if you have CD support, using CDs (or ISO files).

Sasquatch,
Thanks for the reply....
I thought as much...

ISO's were my last resort thought...
Just outta interest whats the theory on the DOS network...? If i remember correctly DOS doesn't support TCPIP, is it IPX or soemthing...?
i think i did it around 10 years ago, but my memory is a bit foggy...

I was just a kid when I used DOS, and it was on a single PC, so I don't even know how to start it with network support. Can't help you with that.

Have you checked out the HowTo in the "Other Guests" forum? This claims to be able to get (network) shared folders working.

You're complete solution page:
http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/modboot/
I used to use this one to start ghost from diskette and grab an image from a windows 2000 domain controller share.
