Pentium Dual-Core
Vista SP1 Home Premium 32bit OS
RAM 2G
ACPI/APIC/PNE enabled or disabled
Guest:
Ubuntu or other
RAM 512M
At very beginning the installation just stopped, leaving mouse and keyboard frozen on Vista, so forced to switch off/on the power button to regain the control on the host.
Searched this forum, then found several posts almost about the identical problem above. Finally they turned to VMWare without solution from VBOX guys, then everything worked well. Generally VBOX performs quite well on "older" Windows hosts, e.g. XP + single core CPU.
Could you help out? Thx!
