using my wireless adapter inside the virtual machines os

Post by EtherealWorksFin1 »

Hello,

my laptop has an integrated wireless module. i want to use it inside the virtual machine, so that the icon "show wireless networks" appears in the windows tray of the virtual machine.

by the way, i can't get an internet connection with my umts-internet in the virtual machine. host system works fine. i defined the network adapter #1 and selected NAT, but i can't connect the internet.

Your physical interfaces are not yet available from a VM. Wait for the next major release and you can select an interface you want to associate with your VM.
As of now, use NAT and make sure your network settings are set properly. The most common mistake is the DNS server. See the VirtualBox FAQ for more info.
