VirtualBox and Windows XP SP3 Com (Serial) Port issues

Post by dbmdude »

I am new here and to VirtualBox so if I miss any information that is required, please let me know and I will post it.

I cannot get my Serial Port to work properly. I am trying to use my labler (SLP220) using the newest software of theres (4.61) and yet whenever I try and print from it, it will not print the labels - it errors out.

The label maker prints fine under my host OS (also Windows XP SP3) when the setting in the printing software for HW Handshaking is turned on and the baud is at 9600 (host COM1 is set up as default settings when Windows XP is installed). I am using VBox 2.06 and do have the comport setup properly (according to the documentation) yet it still will not work.

Can anyone help me?

Is there anyone that has a SLP220 and is running it in the Guest System??

Thanks
