Welcome to our forum. You might want to take this opportunity to browse the Forum Posting Guide. This contains some useful tips on how to search for VBox knowledge and how to frame Qs.

This sort of stall in the boot load is because the kernel for the distro that you've selected needs a capability that you are not currently virtualising. Try combinations of PAE APIC and IO APIC. Get the install to complete and the guest to boot.

PAE and IO APIC can cause a reasonable virtualisation overhead, so it is well worth researching the extra setting that you can add to the boot line in your grub loader menu.lst. Search the Mandriva forums. The settings for VMware will also work well for VBox.
