Hi,
Is there a way to recover W2KSP4 Pro guest, running on Vista64 Premium / VBox204-64b ? ( now I have 2.0.6 )
I got for 2 times corrupted XML files at the same circumstances, causing guest unavailability.
GUI claimed guest is not available.
In both cases it happened when VBox caused immediate Vista reboot when loading saved guest.
In both cases guest was rebooted, saved and loaded many times before.
Hard to say what comes first - the XML corruption or OS reboot.
I have Vbox data folder out from system partition.
Reboot did not trigger automatic launch of chkdsk on data partition,
neither I found any error running chkdsk manually.
So it seems corruption is not result of OS crash.
More is here : http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/2602
with included affected XML and LOG,
XML corruption recovery ( W2KSP4 on Vista64 / VBox204-64b )

If the VDI file is still ok, you can recreate the VM and attach the existing VDI to it.
