Hello,
I'm considering creating a project where people can put their VM on a Dedicated Server (localized at a Datacenter).
This way, people could use it as a simple Desktop or Server. For example, imagine having your office available everywhere, put your own lamp server available with your site or your own game server. There are more than X possibilities, just ask.
I need at least 3 more people (since I ill be using one for myself).
3 would have a cpu of 2,5gb, 2gb of ram each and 250gb of HD. The other one would have one cpu of 2,5gb too, the rest available RAM (1Gb I think) and 200gb of HD.
About the money that each VM ill be... I'm still doing the math and looking at the dedicated servers market. The money ill be used exclusively to pay the costs of the server and to pay another future machine (if there is people interested).
The money ill not be used to have any kind of lucrative goal. People ill be informed how much money the project have all the time. No contracts or anything else related. I'm using already virtualbox for some time and I just love this.
We ill be starting with a single server at the moment to see if it works fine... and if everything works out well... we can expand it into more servers.
Let me know what are your ideas about this, if you like it what you read or not... etc. I hope that I didn't bored anyone with this... not my intention at all.
Thank you,
Ricardo Mendes

Considering that the OP posted exactly one message in 2008, and has never been back since, I wouldn't hold my breath while waiting for this to happen...
