WinPE - Netowrk Drivers

Post by shocko »

Guys,
Anyone been able to get a WinPE2.1 boot to loading up the network when running in VB?? I have been able to do this with VMWare player but not with VB.

Would be sweet to get this going as i could then use it for testing my WinPE images

:)

Check with Google for the driver you select in the VM settings for a WinPE version. Windows PE is by default not supported as Guest, if I understand the "PE" addition properly.

WinPE actually runs the XP kernel. It should boot fine. You just need to pick the correct NIC and IDE controllers. I would go for PIIX4 and an Intel/Pro 1000.
