Guest freezes halfway when playing a video.

Windows 11 host, windows 10 guest, here's the issue:

I started with a fresh install of windows 11 (including guest additions), start up task manager and resource monitor, and start playing a video, and weird things start happening.

The video playback speed is inconsistent. Sometimes it stutters, sometimes it's sped up, and then halfway throughout playing the video (it's about 1.5 minutes , so around 45 seconds) the entire VM freezes up. The video stops playing entirely, task manager and resource monitor says "Not Responding", and when I click on things to try to do things in the VM, it doesn't respond.

After a few minutes, things go back to normal. But when I restart the VM, the same thing happens again.

Task manager on the host shows a sudden drop in GPU usage at the time things freeze up. But nothing goes to 100% on the host, so I don't think the host is running out of resources.
