I am trying to migrate a FreeBSD instance on an old version of MacOS to something a bit newer hardware/software(M1 Mac mini Sequoia) but FreeBSD 14.3 under VBox 7.2.4 seems to be unstable. I lose networking on a remote ssh connection and web access drops as well. Ping doesn't work (machines are in the same room). The screen sharing app on the machine with issues is fine, console there is active so I assume this is a networking issue from the other machine. I noticed earlier it has also lost its default route, had to reset it so it could connect.
I was really hoping to move this to my new machine but until I can trust it to stay connected I really can't. What do I need to fix here?
VBOx 7.2.4 unstable, loses network/freezes
Re: VBox 7.2.4 unstable, loses network/freezes
More details emerge. It also loses time/stops updating via ntpdate. I just set the time a few minutes ago to catch up on about 10 hours of drift and after 10 minutes, it had only incremented the clock by a few seconds. Is there a sleep setting somewhere? I think the console being responsive while network connections are not points to some kind of system sleep but it comes very quickly.

Could you please post a zipped session log that covers the time of the problems you are having. Make sure the VM is shutdown before zipping and attaching the log.
