Hi!

I am trying to use VBox like a second pc and control it on a TS monitor.
If i don't enable the USB controller for the touch screen it works, but the mouse pointer moves to the second monitor.
If i enable it, when i start the VM the TS becomes unavailable on the host but the guest doesn't detect any new hardware.

host and guest OS are win XP.

Is it even possible to use it like a second pc?
If it is how can i make it work?

I'm guessing that a TS is something special and needs direct feedback from the video adapter. It should send events to the connected machine relative to the video. So if you do manage to get it working, you should use VB in full screen mode on that TS, or the events will be misplaced.

As for the detection, did you actually 'mount' it correctly to the VM? Is it selected when your right click the USB icon in the statusbar? Windows should come up with new detected hardware, the VB USB Host Adapter for the Host, and the touchscreen in the Guest when the Host is done.

TS is just short for touch screen.

I have no problems with the monitor i can run full screen on the second monitor. The only problem is that the touch screen is not detected by the virtual machine.

I have tried with a mouse now and it works, but the mouse pointer in the VM is invisible. That would be perfect for the touch screen if it would work.

Does the TS work if you keep it on the Host? Does it select the things you tell it to inside the VM? Or does it do things on the primary monitor?
