Can I get Guest Additions as a separate download ?
I´m using VBox 2.02_AQ because snapshots do not work in 2.04 with Vista x64 as host.
But Ubuntu 8.10 does not have a working video driver with 2.02 additions, IT does with 2.04 additions, even if shared folders do not work.
So... ¿can I get a separate download with only 2.04 additions till and upgrade for complet VBox comes out?
Already done Sasquatch, worked OK, reminder: Im o Vista x64 as host, VBox is 2.0.2_AQ and I am using VBox 2.0.4 additions in all VMs. Got Ubunutu 8.10 x64 and Linux Mint 6.0 RC1 x86 (recent installs) working ok with 204 additions, Everything minus shared folders work OK, seamless windows, etc. (snapshots also).
Some requests:
Any idea when we ll have a new version?
Support for PC-BSD x64 7.01?
Mouse wheel working out of the box pleasssseeeee?
mmm, Sasquatch, mouse wheel does not work for me on any linux guest, by any I mean:
BackTrack 3.0 (live cd)
DSL 4.4.8 (live cd)
Mandriva 2009 x64 (installed)
Open Solaris 0811-99
Ubuntu 8.04 x64
Ubuntu 8.10 x64
Linux Mint 5.0 & 6.0 RC1 x32
Linux Mint 5.0 x64
Scientific Linux
It DOES work on an WinXP x32 guest, tilt wheel (lateral scroll) does not, but vertical scroll does.
Its a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 with the latest drivers for vista x64
Any ideas please? Or any posts that you know of that I can read to resolve this?
Hmm, on my 32 bit Host with, of course, 32 bit Guest (just for a test, I picked the Xubuntu 8.04 live CD) and it worked just as it should. What if you run xev from a terminal in Linux Guest and see what events are triggered.
hey, got what follows (ubuntu 810), the numbers change when I move mouse in small window, when I scroll also, even when I tilt. Left termial open and wen to firefox windows, if I "hit hard" the whell the page sort of "jumps" but it does not scroll

The point is to use the mouse inside the box that comes up. Scroll on there and it should generate those events. The rest is just the information the OS gets when you move the mouse.
