Hello Forum,

This is a new install of VirtualBox on this machine.

I am trying to install CentOS 5.2 i386 DVD.

Configured as fedora, 256M Ram, 8M video

The last line of the boot sequence says:

NET: Registered protocol family 2

Thanks.

Okay, let me start over.

My host is Windows Vista 64bit, fully patched.

I am running VirtualBox 64bit, v2.0.4

My guest settings are:
OS Type: Redhat
Base Memory: 256M
Video memory: 8M
Boot order: CD/DVD-ROM, Hard Disk
ACPI: Enabled
IO APCI: Disabled
VT-x/AMD-V: Disabled
PAE/NX: Disabled

Network: PCnet-FAST III (NAT)

I am trying to boot from an ISO image: CentOS 5.2 i386.

During the boot process, I get:

NET: Registerd protocol family 2

And that's it.

So, what settings should I be adjusting?

Thanks.

Try enabling "IOAPIC" and "PAE".

Where are the settings from the HD, Audio, USB?

By installation problems its always the best to disable Audio and USB first.

That got it. Thanks very much.

On the other devices, I'm not using audio or usb. The HD is 8G IDE.
