Post by Flame_Phoenix »

Hi guys, I have a question, I would like to have a shared folder for my windows XP Guest (which is inside another windows host).Thing is that I add the folder, but when I go to "my netowork places" I don't find it. Is there anything I have to mount ?

Please also mention your Vbox version number when asking about a VBox feature, as feature support may vary from version to version.

Read the User Manual for Installation of Guest Additions.
If I didn't read the manual I wouldn't be posting for help ... I just either don't understand it or don't find it useful ...

I am using vBox 2.0.4

Did you install them or not? If you did, browse the Entire Network to find them, or use the command that is mentioned in the manual, net use x: \\vboxsvr\<enter your shared folder name here>.

In the past some people (myself included) have had shared folders go missing. Reinstalling guest additions fixed the problem.
