Reset or freezing with turned on AMD-V

Hallo,

I use Windows XP SP2 and VirtualBox 2.0.4 on an AMD Turion 64 X2 with 2,00 GHz, 2 GB Ram. When I turn on the AMD-V support in VirtualBox the PC mostly resets. There is no BSOD eventhough I turned off the automatic reboot.
The reset appears while trying to install windows XP in VBox. Shortly before the License Agreement appears, where you have to hit F8, the PC resets.
Once installed and running with turned off AMD-V everything works fine. If I then turn on AMD-V and try to start the WinXP in VBox, the Laptop mostly freezes. After a few seconds, I can move my mouse a bit, then he freezes till I reboot manually. Sometimes the laptop resets instead of freezing.

AMD-V Support is turned on in BIOS.

Please tell me what to do to use AMD-V.

Thank you for your help.

Check if there is a BIOS upgrade for your laptop, it might be a bug in the machine. If that doesn't fix it, then the only choice left is to leave AMD-v turned off. You only really need it if you want to run a 64 bit Guest.
