Question About VirtualBox Usb 64Bit

Post by davidva »

Hi all, ive read all over the forums and cant seem to find a specific reason as to why my setup is not working.

I am running Vista 64-bit ultimate with Virtualbox 64-bit Amd Version.

in my vm i am using Windows Xp Pro 32bit

i connect my creative Zen Vision M to my usb port and try and use it in windows Xp, it finds it but i am not able to open my computer to access it , nor the creative program finds it.

I have enabled it as a usb device and have tried with and without the Usb2.0 checkbox.

after it loads on the icons on the bottom, i click on the usb and make sure it is on the creative item.

Sorry for the long post, any ideas?

Thanks in Advance,

Strange. I have the same player and have no problems accessing it from a VM. But I don't use Vista, and I have stopped using Windows as primary OS. I haven't tried with any recent releases of VB (1.6.x or so was the last version I used it with), but when I have some time, I will check if it still works or not. Note that I don't use, nor have Vista.
