Windows 7 Guest won't boot, blue screen

I've tried everything.
  • I changed the Host Controller type from SATA to IDE
  • I loaded the registry using another VM to access and changed HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CurrentControlSet1\Start change key values from 3h to 0h for the keys aliide, amdide, atapi, cmdide, iastor, iastorV, intelide, LSI_SAS, msahci, pciide and viaide
  • Did the same for the CurrentcontrolSet2
  • Used Shift+F10 from a boot disk and used DISKPART to delete all non windows partitions and made a fresh boot partition and set it up with bootrec and bcdboot
  • Ran the Repair option from the installer, it completed but it doesn't look like it did anything, still BSOD
No matter what I do the system starts to boot and then Blue Screens. I do not know how to stop VirtualBox from auto rebooting so I cannot see what the Blue Screen error is. Historically using an IDE controller always fixed this issue but not this time.

Any ideas what else I can try?

If I boot into Safe Mode, I see drivers getting loaded, so I know it can see the disk. but the lass thing it loads is "CLassPNP.sys" and then it crashes.

OK, that was weird.

I had a backup copy of the Disk Image, I deleted the one I was working on and started over with the copy, I did everything the exact same loading the registry Hive up and setting all those values to 0, and no this time, for some reason, it worked. I did nothing different. Weird
