With a NVMe controller any guest fails to starts: VERR_PDM_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND.
I also wanna hope that you've finally addressed this three year old bug:

This is also mentioned in viewtopic.php?t=111999 but I decided a separate topic wouldn't hurt.

Re: NVMe controller is completely broken
The VERR_PDM_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND error high likely is due to having an old Extension Pack installed. Please install the newest (7.1 Beta) Extension Pack and try again.

Confirming fixed in Beta 2 but the mentioned bug is still unresolved. Windows 10/11 guests do NOT see the NVMe controller until you fix it using the commands specified in the bug report.pentagonik wrote: ↑16. Would be great if you at least confirmed the bug report. I'm not asking to fix it ASAP, it's been broken for years.

Reproduced the issue -- yes, it indeed seems related to MSI-X support and related to the aforementioned tickets.
