I have a old game (Kingdom Under Fire) that I would like to play again.
I installed it on my Win 7 VM where I also have guest additions installed.
The installation went fine, but then it asked to install Directx 8 which failed, after I pressed 'ok'.
Is it somehow possible to get Directx 8 installed under Win 7 in virtualbox?
I know this was not meant for gaming, the game itself does not need alot, 266 mhz cpu, 64mb ram and a gpu with at least 2mb vram.
Any way to get directx 8 to work under Win 7?
