Network and Base System Device Missing

Post by Jazzman20014 »

Hello, hoping that someone may have seen this issue before and can point me in the right direction!

Setup a new VM, pointed it at a corporate file share and got it to download and install across the network. Once it's installed and rebooted there are two devices without drivers showing up. Googling the hardware IDs has not helped at all nor has re-installing VBOX or using a vanilla Windows image.

The result is that there is no network available whatsoever, even by forcing the network adapter online it will only recieve an internal loopback address. By plugging in a USB wireless key and point it at the internet, the drivers are still not found.

The hardware IDs are;
\\VEN_80EE&DEV_CAFE&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00\3&267a616a&1&20 (Base System Device)
\\VEN_1AF4&DEV_1000&USBSYS_00011AF4&REV_00\3&267a616a&1&18 (Ethernet Controller)

VBOX Version - 1.0.18
Host OS - Windows 10 22H2
Guest OS - Windows 10 22H2
