Hi all,
I'm experiencing a strange behavior with a Windows 10 guest running in a virtualbox V7.0.14 manager session under ubuntu 22.04.
All goes fine until I try to set the resolution in the windows session to the optimal resolution of my screen. It is a 1680 x 1050 Samsung LED screen, but for a reason I cannot understand, the guest cannot do better than 1400 x 1050, so I loose two dark vertical bands each side of the display...
I precise that it happens when I try to display the guest in a full screen session, using the host+F keys combination.
The strange thing is when I do the same with a windows 7, I don't have any problem to get it in a 1600 x 1050 format, so it seems it is a problem linked to the driver for windows 10 specifically. Or could it be something else ?
So did I miss something? I installed the guest additions and the extension pack on both sides of guest and host, verified I didn't have invalid settings in the video configuration panel (VBox SVGA with hardware 3D acceleration).
If anyone here have an idea, I'll be happy to hear about it!!!
