I have about 7 or 8 guest os's that I use. This is on windows xp 32bit. I am getting ready to move to Vista x64 and am wondering if I can simply copy my vm's to the new host OS and run as normal or if I will run into problems.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks!
Sean

I have just moved a bunch of VMs from 32-bit XP to 64-bit Ubuntu without issue, or to be more specific: VDIs. I use VBoxManage scripts to create the VMs themselves.

Because CPU is virtualized, probably a new activation for windows guests is needed. For other guests there will be no problem in moving vdi files.
