Suddenly no more network connection

Post by Electrific »

Hello,
I am using Windows 10 as a hostsystem with VirtualBox Version 7.014r. The virtual system is Ubuntu 22.04.4 TLS 64 bit connected via Virtual Box Host-Only Ethernet Adapter in NAT mode. This was working fine since a number of years, but today I experienced that that network connection is not more in function suddenly after a reboot, there have been no changes. I figured out that the Virtual Box Host-Only Ethernet Adapter seems to work (I did deactivate and reactivate it) there are no changes in the Windows system, too.
In the Ubuntu system i recognized that there is only a IPv6 Ip address (DHCP is used) an no IPv4 (which was used before) an there is no networktraffic shown even the interface is activated in Virtual box. I also tried to release the DCHP address an renew it (dhclient -r an dhclient) - this task never ends. Does anyone have an idea to solve the problem - to me is seems some windows interface problem ?

Below the output ifconfig:

enp0s3: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
