A Windows program won't save a file in Windows directories or on mounted ext4 disk

Post by freeuse »

A program I use (Race Analysis 3) doesn't save some output file types when asked.
In short, the same program works in native WIndows, but not as Guest Windows in VB.

Details:
- Same program (Race Analysis 3) works fine on native WIndows.
- In Guest Windows (LinuxVB host), It saves some files, but not others (its consistent which types it doesn't save).
- It reports that it's saved (no errors when saving from the program's GUI).
- Same results in VB 7.x and 6.x
- In the host Windows, I can manually create files in the directories that the program failes to save in.

Is there a log file I can look at?
