I have a newly installed Windows 11 with Virtualbox 6.1.50r161033.
I have a Debian 12 linux guest VM.
When I boot up the guest, it hangs during boot (luks unlock prompt).
Hyper-V is not enabled.
What can cause this? How to fix or debug further?
The entire virtualbox log is attached.

Re: Linux guest on Windows 11 host freezes during boot
The VM in question was one that I imported from another machine on which it works fine.
As an experiement, I tried creating a completely new VM. I set it to boot from the debian12 netinst iso. Boot in Grub works fine and I select the graphical install. Then I get this message: see screenshot attached.

Re: Linux guest on Windows 11 host freezes during boot
I suggest to try latest Virtualbox 7.0.14 and check if problem reproduce.
I don't see problem from your log file (don't know where to look at), but in Debian 12 new features I see that it started to use IBT - indirect branch tracking.

And according to this post, IBT does not work with Virtualbox 6.1, but works with Virtualbox 7.0.10 and above.

Virtualbox 6.1 is also no longer supported, so any issues will be fixed only under 7.0 now.
