I installed VirtualBox form the official website but it fails to start any VMs:
I find it quite disappointing that supposedly stable versions of Ubuntu and VirtualBox don't work out of the box with clear installation instructions
Trying to follow the instructions doesn't help.
I'm running out of ideas. Anyone knows how to solve this? Thanks for the help!VirtualBox doesn't start any VMs on Ubuntu 22.04

The clear instructions are literally right there in the image you posted. Install the packages it's saying you need to install.
Re: VirtualBox doesn't start any VMs on Ubuntu 22.04
Same problem after fedora 39 update of 3/25. Tried several fixes to sign kernel modules with no positive results. Tried test build 162366 - no better. Need secure boot to run Windows 11 as guest.
Re: VirtualBox doesn't start any VMs on Ubuntu 22.04
fedora 6.9.0-0.rc1.216.vanilla.fc39.x86_64 broke virtualbox. Dropping back a couple kernel updates make all vbox clients, except for Windows 11, work.
Re: VirtualBox doesn't start any VMs on Ubuntu 22.04
With fedora 40, kernels pre-6.9 not supported, so can't fall back to 6.8.1. VirtualBox on fedora 40 is dead until VB gets updated.
Re: VirtualBox doesn't start any VMs on Ubuntu 22.04
Turning off secure boot and installing kernel 6.8.2-350.vanilla.fc40.x86_64 on fedora 40 allows all VB clients to work except for Windows 11
Re: VirtualBox doesn't start any VMs on Ubuntu 22.04
Removing guest Windows 11 and reinstalling got things working perfectly with 6.9 kernel
