Printer connectivity XP VM to Windows 11 host
I am running VirtualBox 7 on a Windows 11 host. When I try to print to a USB printer on the host, the job errors out. I have tried a number of fixes, including playing with the printer port, reloading the printer driver, and changing sharing and firewall options, to no avail. I have been unable to diagnose the issue. I have Norton 360 and have identified the VM as a trusted device in the firewall. I am able to access and share files between the host and the VM, so I don't think it's a firewall issue. After I shut down the VM, which closes normally, the top 1.5" of the job will print. Where should I be looking to fix this issue?
Re: Printer connectivity XP VM to Windows 11 host
Hi,
I have the same problem since I updated to Virtualbox 7.016 and now to 7.018. Im Running Windows XP on a Linux Mint 21.3 host. Since the update Virtualbox says there is no access to the printer via USB001 (virtual printer port). The printer is always offline.
