strange NAT problem

I have a strange problem with NAT connection and I haven't found any solution for it.

I'm running openSuSE 11.0 on Windows XP.
My openSuSE can't connect to the internet or any other machine in my LAN or even my host XP.
I know that ping isn't working in NAT connection, but it shows that it connects with DNS

Much more interesting thing is that I set up a port forwarding (User manual: 6.4.1) from host port 2222 to guest port 22 and I successfully connected thru it from XP to my openSuSE.

openSuSE network configuration:
address getting by DHCP
DNS: 10.0.2.3
Default gateway: 10.0.2.2

Maybe a problem is in my Windows XP configuration?

See the Forum FAQ. This is often an issue with the host firewall.

I don't know about any firewalls on my computer. I have Symantec Antivirus and I haven't found any firewall in it. I had for a while Cisco VPN Client, but I uninstalled it (I don't know if this information is helpful )

If you have SP2 or greater, then the XP firewall is enabled by default.

My Windows firewall is disabled. I added exceptions for all VBox programs and for 80 port. No result.

Open the Security Center of your Host and check what program is reported for the Firewall. If it's Norton, then that is your problem. Norton can be a real pain. It used to slow your computer down tremendously, but since Norton 360, they say that it changed. But the firewall part can still cause a lot of problems. Norton isn't as configurable as a normal firewall.
