VirtualBox 7: No host-only network is currently selected

Post by Ana06 »

I am trying to change my network adapter from NAT to Host-Only Adapter and I get the following error:

Code: Select all

No host-only network is currently selected.

There is only the option Not Selected in the Name drop-down list.

I am using a debian 12 host with the latest VirtualBox version (7.0.14) and a Windows 10 guest.

It seems that in previous versions of VirtualBox there was a Host Network Manager to configure the Host-Only Adapter but I don't see this option in this version of VirtualBox.

Any help to change my network adapter to Host-Only Adapter would be appreciated.

You need to create a host-only adapter first... then you can select that one for your VM.

In VirtualBox 7.0 it was moved to the Network Manager (Tools > Network).
