VMware NIC won't go away
I migrated a VMware Windows XP VM into VirtualBox (Linux host) and everything works fine except the network card. The device manager shows a VMware NIC with some problem. Bad driver, I guess. I can uninstall it, but it always comes back like trick candle and I can't make Windows see a VirtualBox NIC. I tried all the emulated "models" in all modes (NAT, Bridged etc.) and none of them is ever seen. I have installed Guest Additions. What else can I do? How do I get rid of the VMware NIC and properly install a VB one?
