Is there an security/password feature in vbox that will allow you to require a password before a virtual machine will start? I didn't immediately see one, but wanted to check. Thanks,

Not that we are aware of. Anyone with access to your files can start the VMs you have created. But even if they have the files, they still need VB and how to add the VMs (though that isn't all that hard).

If you really want to secure your VMs, put them on an encrypted drive/folder.

If all it did was ask for a password before running a VM then it would be useless as a security feature. Anyone with access to your host could copy the underlying VDIs to another PC then create new VMs for them.

You would need every VDI to be encrypted to get real security.
