Hi everyone,
I'm using VB 6.0.22 on a Dell Latitude 3500 (Windows 11).
I've been trying to make this old educative game (year 2000) work on Windows XP SP3 host :
Monet: The Mystery of the Orangery (available on myabandonware)
GuestAdditions pack is installed but when I start the game, I have this error message about Direct3D acceleration :
Direct3D is still enabled :
Does anyone know what I missed to make this game work ?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Direct3D acceleration on Windows XP (VB 6.0.22)
3D Acceleration for Windows VMs allows up to 256MB RAM. If the game still doesn't run, then the game is looking at metrics that you might not be able to get inside a Virtualbox VM. FWIW Virtualbox isn't built for gaming.

Thank you for your answer scottgus1.
This educational "game" is supposed to run on windows 95, 98 or XP.
Configuration needed for the game box :
-PII
-32 Mo Ram (64 recommanded)
-Video Card 3D compatible DirectX, 8Mo
-Sound card 16 bits
-Cd Rom 8x
Is it too much for VirtualBox ?
There is a video of this game on Youtube. And the author says he used VMware Player (I've tried : it does not work either).
I've also tried to contact him to ask how he made it work but I had no answer...
