Was using Archlinux lts kernel 6.1 is fine.
Since lts was upgraded to 6.6, X11 GUI freezes and can only work under fullscreen mode.
guest addition version:
virtualbox-guest-utils 7.0.12-1

I'm no Linux guru, but I did see a post from a guru today that the Guest Additions need a reinstall after a kernel changes.

Probably related to Heavy screen flickering VirtualBox 6.1.48 / 7.0.12 Ubuntu Wayland guest kernels 6.4 / 6.5 and 6.6 (not tested).
