Crashing Win10 VM after upgrading to 7.0.12

Post by jjvdgeer »

I upgraded my VirtualBox on Ubuntu 23.10 from 6.1.48 to 7.0.12. After that the configuration is still there and my Win10 VM is still there.

When I start it though it crashes. I see very short a Windows logo that suggests to me the VM reaches the harddisk image. After that it fails with:
Recovery
Your PC couldn't start properly
A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.
Error code: 0xc0000225
You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB
device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.
When I revert back to 6.1.48 then all is fine again.

Any pointers how to fix this?
