Re: VBOX on a few monitors
I don't know why it would do this, but we'll need some data to start diagnosing.
Copy the VM's vbox.log and its .vbox file (*) with the VM's windows where they are now. Place both files in a folder called "Set 1".
Then when the VM boots next time with the windows in a different place, shut it down and copy the log and .vbox file (*) again. Place both files in a folder called "Set 2".
Wait for the windows to switch a third time and copy another set of log and .vbox file (*). Place both files in a folder called "Set 3".
Zip and post the 3 folders using the forum's Attachments tab.
(*) To take a log and .vbox file correctly:
Please start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. Copy the VM's .vbox file (not the .vbox-prev file) to the folder. Also, in the "Logs" subfolder, copy the VM's "vbox.log" to the folder. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)
