Windows 7 Guest additin error

Hi,
I try to update VMWareTools (v7.0.6a.155176 to v7.0.12) from a Window 7 pro for guest OS on Windows 10 host.

If I try option "upgrade Guest additions", I have the folowing error (see file "VMWare_error_2023-12-11 174654.jpg" attached).

Can someone help me?

I attached VBox.log (on file "VBox7z");


I try also option "Insert Guest Additions CD image". The process run fine but at the reboot the Gurest Additios was not update, still v7.0.6)

You're on the wrong forum, then. VMware Tools is for, wait for it.....

Not Virtualbox.

Updating Virtualbox's Guest Additions will not update VMware Tools.

Also, Virtualbox may not run well with a VM that has VMware Tools in it.

One last also, Virtualbox Guest Additions 7.0.12 has a bug for Windows 7 VMs. Use 7.0.13's Guest Additions in the test builds. Or don't use Guest Additions for now. Or wait until 7.0.14 is out, probably in January 2024.
