Canary builds 25987 25992 cannot start any VirtualBox, Feedback bug is open

It's pretty clear from the other threads here this is an issue with W11 Canary.

There is now a Windows Feedback thread for this issue. Please upvote. The title is "Windows 11 Build 25987 (Canary) Breaks VirtualBox." This has 36 votes at the time of writing. There are a dozen other duplicate issues with 2-3 votes each, please ignore those.

I will keep an eye on this and add comments with useful information, starting with a summary of what we discovered in the main thread on this forum, now locked: viewtopic.php?t=110452

If you reply to this post please keep it constructive and please check the other thread first to ensure your comment is not a duplicate of information that has already been aired here.

Sorry to have opened a new thread but I thought it was important to signpost the Windows Feedback post, especially since it indicates this really isn't an issue at the VirtualBox end, and the other threads are locked.

I'm not a member of any Windows Insider program. Is this thread freely accessible?

Great point. I've just tried out the link on other devices and learned that no, it is not accessible from outside the Feedback Hub. However I *think* you can install the Hub on any Windows desktop.

If that means I need to crosspost here with any updates there that look useful, I'm happy to do so. Although, experience shows it's more likely to get no useful updates at all and then suddenly get fixed in a Canary release anyway.

Experiencing critical issues with Canary builds 25987 and 25992, rendering VirtualBox unusable. Submitted detailed feedback in the open bug report. Urgently seeking resolution to ensure seamless virtualization functionality.

Canary builds aren't supported host OS's. For good Virtualbox, use a normal Windows host OS release instead of a pre-release.

Hello everyone.

Before I open a new Windows Guest topic/ticket, anyone else here also having issues with Win11 Insider Canary GUEST >= 26010?

I cannot boot Win11 Insider Canary 26016[.1012] GUEST ISO under Vbox 7.0.12 / Win11 23H2 22631.2861 HOST.
I can see vCPU usage in Vbox status bar but it won't go into the "spinning circle" Windows boot phase.

VM GUEST Windows Update to such Win11 Canary version fails / won't work either.

AFAICS, this issue should be fixed in the VirtualBox test builds 7.0.13r160845 and newer. Please give it a try and report back!

Tested again with Vbox test build 7.0.13 r160845 and still have the same issue.
