Hi everybody !
I don't know how I did that but all setting files in the directory have been turned down to 0 byte, so I can't start the corresponding machine.
The .vdi file is still there, but I can't connect it to a new created one. How can I do to insert and use this vdi disk without reinstalling the os ? It is a win11 and I would be painfull.
Thanks

Re: Lost congigs files
There is only one settings file (.vbox) and its previous state (.vbox-prev). If the latter exists then rename the extension to the former.

Re: Lost congigs files
In fact when I saw all these files empty, I deleted them, hoping there was a possibility to recreate them.
Obviouly there is not ;(
I tried to create a new machine but never could attach the disk to it.

Re: Lost settings files
Unless you have backups that can restore the .vbox or .vbox-prev files, you can try to make a new VM. If you had a simple VM without any snapshots or encryption, you may be able to put the old VM's disk on the new VM:
Make a new VM as close as possible to the old VM's settings. In the VM's Storage settings, click the hard disk (not the Optical Drive) made for the new VM. In the popup menu, click "Choose/Create a disk image...". The Virtual Media Manage will open. Choose the old VM's hard disk.
