I upgraded my host OS ubuntu from 23.04 to 23.10. In this context virtualbox is upgraded from 7.0.8-1 to 7.0.10.
I'm using a vm with Windows 10 as a guest. It has two virtual displays configured. After the upgrade the vm shows a black screen only. Only when I change the configuration to one display only, the screen is shown correctly.
What can I do to activate two virtual displays in this VM?

Re: black screen only with two virtual displays
We need to see a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

This ist the log, when only one display is configured and the screen shows everything.

This is the log, when two displays are configured and the (login) screen is black. I have shutdown the VM by ACPI event.

Re: black screen only with two virtual displays
This is a known problem, solved in VirtualBox 7.0.12 and newer (Changelog for VirtualBox 7.0). As a workaround, keep the second virtual screen enabled when shutting down the VM.
