I noticed recently the Mac OS guest support on VirtualBox is quite poor. Installations fail and guests crash. I believe I have found the reason for this.
Apple have recently changed the network card support in Mac OS Ventura and later to newer models which the current Virtual Box drivers, the Intel E1000 do not work well or at all. I do know that VMware's vmxnet3 card does work on newer Mac OS'.
I wonder if it is possible to update the network card list on VirtualBox for newer NIC s and include a wmxnet3 compatible card as well,
