Can we all just admit that these slide-out notifications kind of suck?
First, you can't turn them off, second, they can be hard to read, they don't go away on their own, they cover content across the whole right side of the window until you click to make them go away...
I mean, it's really a bad UX.

There are some here that don't like the slide out panel.
There is no way to turn the slide out panel off entirely.
One can individually disable the error messages that appear in the slide-out panel. Once all the common error messages are disabled, the panel will not slide out in the VM window, until an uncommon error occurs.
The decision to include the panel was probably made by the devs' bosses, at the behest of a big Oracle customer. The panel is likely to stay.
You can post a Bugtracker enhancement ticket to ask for a master switch to hide the panel.
