OS Ventura installation problem within VirtualBox?!?

Post by Toxifera »

Hello out there, I am attempting to install Mac OS Ventura within the latest version of VB. I get past the agreement prompts to the part where it asks where I want to install, then there no options whatsoever, not even a box to select anything from?!? I have a 240Gb disk associated with it.

Any help in this matter would be much appreciated :-)

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Attachments tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)

Hello ScottGus1,
Thank You Sincerely for your reply. I have attached the log. Does the VM need to have access to the internet so that Ventura will install? Thank You for your time.

Sorry, I've got bad news. Apple requires that a Mac guest is only allowed if the physical computer is real Apple hardware.
OSX guests on non-Apple hardware

Your PC is not an Apple computer, so regrettably, we cannot help.

We'd be happy to help on Windows, Linux, or Solaris or others, though!
