Ubuntu 8.10 intrepid ibex - mouse movement problem

Post by abcuser »

Hi,
using Virtualbox 2.0.4 on Windows XP SP3 as host and Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex as guest.

I have installed Guest Additions on Ubuntu. But mouse movement has some problems. When using full-screen mode sometimes when I move mouse up it is blocked to some hight and then moving it up and down for couple of times and then mouse can be moved above "restricted" height. This only happens in full-screen mode - if I turn off full-screen mode mouse works fine.

It looks like a bug in Virtuabox 2.0.4. Does anyone has the same problem? Is there any workaround?

In my system there is also very big problem of mouse movement using Seamless Mode. Mouse is moving completely moving out of control - totally useless.

BTW, I have also Ubuntu 8.04 installed as guest and have no problem with mouse only little problem using seamless mode.

Have you tried adding the mouse configuration to the xorg.conf of 8.10 like it's on 8.04? Somethings this fixes the problem.
