Re: Error Message: A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine
Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Attachments tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)

Re: Error Message: A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine
Thanks for the log.
Please see M1/M2 Mac 7.0 Beta Status.
XP is the latest Windows OS reported working on the M1/M2 beta. More modern Windows won't run. Similar limits in Linux.
Looks like you're running the ARM version of Virtualbox for M1/M2 Macs.the log wrote:00:00:00.947996 VirtualBox VM 7.0.8_BETA4 r156879 darwin.arm64 (Apr 17 2023 18:33:44) release log

Re: Error Message: A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine
That's not what the sticky said. It says that very old Linux may work.

Are you aware that Windows 10 is a tad more modern than Windows XP? "More modern Windows won't run."
Please engage your reading comprehension API and try that sticky again.
