USB over VRDP problem

USB over VRDP problem

i've installed VB 2.0.4 on windows XP host and xubuntu 8.0.4 as guest.
connection via VRDP (vrdp client is Vista) works fine but i can't connect USB device in vrdp client. Any suggestion ?

Welcome to the forums. Please read the Forum Posting Guide for help framing questions and providing information. Currently, you don't give enough for us to help you. Did you enable USB in the RDP client? Is USB enabled for the Guest?

Sasquatach,
thank you for the suggestion, but i've read all faq and howto before create this post! :)
anyway USB is enable on guest and also USB is enable on RDP client (xp remote desktop client).
When Usb pen drive connected on Host, xubuntu guest can read the pen drive.
When pen drive connected on xp remote desktop client xubuntu guest cannot read the pen drive !

Have you tried this with an XP VM, or another machine on the network capable of accepting RDP sessions?

yes ... i've tried with a VM with Xp guest ... and the result it's the same: if usbpen is connected on VB host guest can read
via rdp cannot :(

question: client rdp is the standard remote desktop client of windows xp .. there are other client ?

I meant to try and RDP to a bare metal install of XP or similar with the USB option.

There are other RDP clients, but those are often not for windows.

on "bare metal" XP it's work fine ! ... the problem i think is VRDP
