Hello, the changelog for VB 7.0.0 mentions that VMs can now be fully encrypted:
> Virtual machines can be fully encrypted now, including the VM config logs and saved states (CLI only for now)
Does anybody know how that works? I don't see any new flags for VBoxManage. Thanks.

Perhaps you should read the official documentation then: Encryption of VMs.Another wrote:Does anybody know how that works? I don't see any new flags for VBoxManage.

Where does it mention anything about the new full encryption? This "regular" encryption has been available for ages. Or do you just need to re-encrypt your VMs to enable it? Because right now snaphots are not encrypted even though I'm on 7.0.8.fth0 wrote: Perhaps you should read the official documentation then

Ohhh, you mean the entire "encryptvm" command is new, don't you. Previously there was only "encryptmedium". Got it. Thanks.

Yes, and the old functionality is documented in another section further down: Encryption of Disk Images. Note the difference in the section titles.
