Host Vista 64bit; VB existing OpenSuSE 11 64 bit

Post by gbruchha »

Hello,

I have a Compaq 8510w Notebook with 4GB RAM and Windows Vista 64 bit and OpenSuSE 11 installed on it. So there are multiple partitions on my hard disc. Now I would like to use the existing Linux installation in a VB from Windows. The problem is that if I create a new box it shows an empty list of HDDs. Any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks!

It's normal to have an empty list of disks in VB, as you didn't create any disk yet.

Please read the Manual on how to set up RAW Disk Access. That is what you want. Also search the forums for more information, the scenario you want has been done a few times. See the Forum Posting Guide for additional info about finding information on the forums.
