Differences in menu options between two installations.

Post by GrumpyDragon »

I have two Macs, one Mini and one Macbook Pro. Both are running the same (latest) version of VB.

Both are hosting Windows XP and Windows 10 guests.

On the MacBook Pro, on both guest machines, the 'Apple Menu' I'll see at the top of the screen will be '(Apple)-VirtualBox VM-Machine-Input-Devices-Help'

On the Mini I'll see exactly that on the XP guest, but on the Windows 10 guest all I see is '(Apple-VirtualBox VM-Window-Help'

Not having the 'Devices' option is an absolute pain, as I can't attach the USB device I need to. I've compared settings between the two machines, the only difference being the MacBook Pro is running W10 64-bit, and the Mini is running W10 32 bit. There is no difference in the VB settings.

Any suggestions?

Please compare the User Interface tabs in the VM's settings.

Thankyou - I hadn't realised that items greyed out rendered them active; as all the items beneath were ticked I'd assumed all was good. It's now working fire

I can't get USB ports to attach on anything now, but I'll start another thread on that!
